The Thank You Card

Call me old fashioned, but I love both writing and receiving personalized thank you cards. In an age where we are constantly bombarded by every electronic means of communication possible, I truly appreciate this method of genuinely connecting with guests after each wedding event. Unfortunately, this practice seems like a lost art nowadays!

Talking amongst my friends, I have learned they haven't received any form of thanks whatsoever after attending several recent wedding related events. Seems like a bit of a slap in the face if you ask me. How dare you not thank someone after they make an effort to attend your event and/or likely contribute some form of gift!?

The first thing I did after our engagement party in December was request every guests address. I then wrote each of them a personalized note, thanking them for both their attendance and their generosity. The price of both the thank you cards and the postage probably came to around $1.10 CAD, maximum. (Check out your local dollar store for packages of blank thank you cards!) It's really the least I could have done for all of our guests who were so generous.

In my eyes, there is no better way to express your appreciation than through the written word. I truly believe a personalized handwritten note goes a long way in today's society. From one future bride to another, don't overlook this important detail to cap off each amazing event leading up to the big day. Although time consuming, your guests will certainly appreciate it! ~♡~
